Yes, it is true! It is finally done!
My little shutter project, remember?
Well, after many layers of stripper and then many layers of white spray paint in below freezing temps I have the shutter all primed and ready to go.
I have this wonderful little collection of knobs that I acquired after the holidays. I wanted them for Christmas, but never got them. So when I saw them on sale at 50% off, I drove my happy little tush to Hobby Lobby and grabbed me a bunch!
See....aren't they pretty?!
I took my shutter and rubbed a nice layer of glaze onto it and then came the hard part. (Aside from the other obstacles that I have faced on this little project.)
Which way do I like my knobs on this thing?
Hmmm...
I think this is the one...but it needs a little something different.
Oh yeah, there we go! Much better. So, now I have this custom made coat rack ready for the wall.
I really like it and I think it will work out great for my little family. Hopefully the walk in and drop off everything routine will come to an end with this thing.
Now, I just have to get Sir to help me hang it on the wall. It's 5 feet long and not exactly the lightest thing. I could do it myself but it would be so much easier with Sir, plus I think he kind of likes to help me out.
Kind of.
Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon. Oh, and I found a lamp base for my mondo shade that I made earlier. Can't wait to get it finished as well...if these darn temperatures would just get a teeny bit warmer. Not a heat wave, but above 32 degrees would work!
I am linking to Someday Crafts.
That turned out really nice
