Homemade Valentines

Today was a snow day for the kiddos and myself.  Middle America is in the middle of a blizzard and I am greatly affected by it.

Sir had a convention to attend in Las Vegas and has been snowed out.  No planes in or out.  He says that he is "over it".  I am assuming that he can only mean that he is ready to come home and play in the snow with the kiddos.  I am, as well, over it.  Meaning, I am ready to have him back home.

So, while the kiddos and I are stranded in the casa, we decided to do something useful with our time together.

We made homemade valentines cards.  And no, these are not originals by any means.  But these ideas were so cute, we just had to do them!

We got our loot from Mandi at Tidbits from the Tremaynes.

Her blog is freaking hilarious!  I so get her sense of humor.  And she's pretty crafty too!  She's competing in the Crafting with the Stars competition over at Sew Dang Cute Crafts.  She survived the first round of the competition with this awesome mirror.

She made it for $20!  Seriously!  The original is like $700 $699.

Yikes!

Anyway, I think I might have to make one for a friend of mine or myself!  It's amazing!
