Chicken Poo No More!

Say What?!?!?

Yep, you read the title right, "Chicken Poo No More!"  I have been a real chicken poo lately when it comes to doing my stencil on the foyer wall.  But that all changed today.  I decided if I totally hated it, I could always just paint over it.  But darn it took so dang long to make that stencil to just have to paint over it.

I was very nausea as I began painting on the first stencil.  Why?  I don't really know.  I guess it's just one of those things that you know you are taking a risk and most people would probably think you are insane for trying it.  But I had to try it.  Really, what did I have to lose?

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Okay, here we go.

Remember my stencil?

Here it is up on the wall, ready for it's paint.  Just waiting.  Can you see all the different colors that I was deciding on underneath it?  Decisions, decisions!

Alrighty!  Time to bite the bullet.  By the way....what the heck does that mean anyway?

Ready?  I know...you can hardly stand the anticipation, can't you?!

Wow, that wasn't so bad!  Kinda like taking a band-aid off.  Just hold your breath and close your eyes real tight.

I know stenciling is big in blog land, but here in middle America, it isn't so big.  It will be interesting to see what friends and family have to say about it.  I'm digging it, so it really doesn't matter too much anyhow.

It took me forever, or so it seemed.  I'm more of the instant gratification crafter.

Here it is close up.....ready?!

And here is the final project.  It only took me two nights without the Dearest home, but I did have the kiddos home for the past two days.  No school...they had a four day weekend of candy heaven!

Pay no attention to the missing tile to the left.  That will be done, eventually.  I think.

What do you think?  I was told by some friends that the red was too much of a contrast.  They said that I should try white or cream.  I dunno.

Sorry the pics are so dark, it is only 11pm when I am taking them.

Thanks so much for stopping by to read about little ole me!  I so appreciate it!  Have a wonderful day!

  1. I like the Barn Red. It's a pop of color that compliments the blue of the dresser.
